RTO UNITS TLIC107C/2507B IN ONE SHOT (8HRS)
Course Aim
The aim of this course is to provide employees with the skills and knowledge of the two national Units of competency TLIC2507B Operate four wheel drive vehicle and TLIC107C Drive Vehicle. Participants will gain practical training with either a hired all terrain vehicle or their own company all terrain vehicle to experience and improve driving skills in accordance with the acquired theory. This course is provided in Perth, or as on-site training.

Course Description
Test & Training Driving Experience® provides exclusive 4WD intensive driver training at a high learning level. This specially designed 4WD training course focuses on the performance criterias of the national units Drive Vehicle and Operate four wheel drive vehicle.
Training is done with the latest state-of-the-art equipment Mini-HATS Hazard Avoiding Training System developed to deliver high competency in driving vehicles. An accredited and competent Certificate IV Training & Assessor / Driving Instructor will guide, control, monitor and assess all participants through training whilst they gain theoretical knowledge and driving experience.
All participants who successfully pass the oral and practical assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment Units TLIC2507B Operate 4WD Vehicle & TLIC107C Drive Vehicle.
Training Program
- 1h 40’ Min. Presentation (TLIC107C & TLIC2507B):
Core driving physics, 4WD vehicle technique such as;
Hazard awareness, power transmission, stopping distance, tyres, different braking methods ABS/non-ABS, vehicle dynamics, ESC Electronic Stability Control, 4WD transmission; high-, low range, and locked mode, transmission wind-up, wheel hubs, oral questionnaire - 30 Min. Practical (TLIC107C & TLIC2507B):
Pre-start check, check tyre pressure, posture, steering- and vision technique, transmission wind up, and wheel hubs, how to operate a jack - 2h Driving Experience (TLIC107C):
On-road assessment, combined with oral questionnaire - 2h Driving Experience (TLIC2507B):
Drive a 4WD off-road, operate vehicle on, or across, a slope, operate vehicle ascending & descending a steep slope incl. stall recovery, complete 4WD operations - 1h 50Min Driving Experience (TLIC107C):
Proactive vehicle control (hazard avoiding training) Debriefing, hand out of Statement of Attainment
Course Requirements:
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Minimum functional English in speaking and listening
- For Unit TLIC2507B Operate 4WD Vehicle manual driver’s licence is required
Maximum Participants:
- 4 Drivers per day
