Course Description

Our methodology is simple: Learning through your own driving experience. Practical driving will be kept as close to reality as possible. You will learn to manage unexpected hazards and improve your ability to handle difficult situations. You will achieve measurable learning outcomes while enjoying individual Eco driver training.

Test & Training Australia Pty Ltd uses state-of-the-art electronic devices to simulate realistic unexpected hazards. You will experience and have the opportunity to correctly execute emergency brake applications. We are the only WA provider who can offer high-tech electronic aids that measure your brake force and reaction time in emergency situations.

Training Program:

  • Hazard Identification, -Perception and -Management (analyse traffic scenarios).
  • Risks: speed, fatigue and alcohol, distractions, country driving, night driving.
  • Defensive driving techniques: scanning, looking ahead, cornering, safe travel distance.
  • Eco driving technique: The Four Golden Rules.
  • Vehicle safety features: ABS, ABS-Plus, TCS, ESC, EBD, BAS, BAS-Plus.
  • Tyres.
  • Vehicle Dynamics.
  • Reaction Test Measurement.
  • Brake force Measurement.
  • Eco- test drive with clear outcome.
  • Individual hazard avoidance training (with unexpected hazards).

Your trainer’s qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Road Transport (Driving Instructor for licence classes: R, C, HR).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Eco Driver Trainer certificate.
  • Certificate of Senior First Aid.
  • Prior work experience in safety industry, driver training, and group training management.
  • Police Approved and certified to teach minors.
  • Fluent in multiple languages.
