Course Aim

The aim of this course is to provide tourists with the theoretical core knowledge of how to operate a 4WD in Australia. Participants will gain theoretical training in front of their hired 4WD vehicle to prepare themselfes for an exiting and safe journey through the outback of Australia. This course is provided in Perth at the pick up location of your rental company.

Course Description

Test & Training Driving Experience® provides exclusive 4WD driver training at a high learning level and with great pleasure. This specially designed 4WD Introduction course focuses on how to operate a 4WD vehicle in Australia inclusive major aspect of the differences between the Austalian and European Road Rules.

Inaccredited and competent Instructor will explain, instruct, and support you through the training.

Training Program

  • 1HR 30Min: 4WD vehicle technique such as; major differences between Australian to European Road Rules, road conditions, 4WD transmission; High Range, High Range-Lock, Neutral, Low Range, Low Range-Lock, transmission wind-up, wheel hubs, basics of 4WD recovery and equipment, how to safe fuel with ECO driving, possible danger in Outback and how to manage it safely, basic first aid, which road maps are best to use. Posture, steering and vision techniques, pre-start check.

  • $110 per Vehicle, incl. two drivers ($55 for each additional driver)
